Heavy would be considered where you cannot see the bottom of the pool/barely can see bottom of pool OR you have tried the 'light' Algae Treatment at least 48 hours prior with no results. (Also works on Black Algae or Brown Mustard Algae)

Follow steps in order:

• Brush the bottom & sides of pool to loosen up algae
• Add 10 Gallons of Chlorine Shock or 5 lbs of Turbo Shock per 10,000 gallons of water at night
• 12 Hours Later Add 16 oz. of Algaecide 60 per 10,000 gallons of water
• Add 4 oz of clarifier per 10,000 gallons of water
• Run Filter non-stop for 24-48 Hours until clear
• Vacuum the pool thoroughly
• Clean filter with Filter Cleaner
• Test water with at-home test kit to ensure Chlorine is at 4ppm or below before entering pool.

Light would be considered where you have slight green in your pool/can see the bottom or just the start of algae. This will not work if you cannot see the bottom or have black aglae.

Follow steps in order:

• Brush the bottom & sides of pool to loosen up algae
• Add 5 Gallons of Chlorine Shock or 3lbs of Turbo Shock per 10,000 gallons of water at night
• 12 Hours Later add 16 oz. of Algaecide 60 per 10,000 gallons of water
• Add 4 oz of clarifier per 10,000 gallons of water
• Run Filter non-stop for 24-48 Hours until clear
• Vacuum the pool thoroughly
• Clean filter with Filter Cleaner
• Test water with at-home test kit to ensure Chlorine is at 4ppm or below before entering pool.
